What should I do if I can’t contact the driver?

You will be able to contact the driver as soon as they have sent you a request.

  • To contact the driver through Getaround: go to Your rentals and select the relevant rental. You can contact the driver by sending a message on Getaround.
  • To call the driver by phone: go to Your rentals and select the relevant rental - the driver’s phone number is shown below their name.

If you need some information from the driver and they are not answering your messages: be patient. Drivers don't always have time to answer right away or to check their email frequently. If you have tried contacting them on our messaging app, try and call them. Leave them a message with the brand of your car and the dates of your rental on Getaround.

However, if the driver hasn't been answering you and your rental is starting soon, we recommend you cancel it saying the driver wasn't available. In this case, penalty fees may be applied to the driver and you will be compensated.

Please note: if you cancel a rental without giving the driver time to answer, compensation may not be applied.
