What is the Ultra Low Emission Zone and what does this mean for my vehicle?

The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), has now been introduced in designated parts of London 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to help reduce emissions, and improve our air quality.

The new zone will use the same boundaries as the central London Congestion charge zone and vehicles that do not comply with the new standards will face a daily charge of £12.50.

If you list your vehicle on Getaround and it does not comply with the ULEZ standards and is parked in London, you will need to communicate this on your listing. To check to see whether your car is compliant, please visit the TFL website here.

If a renter drives within the ULEZ during their rental, they will be required to pay the charge.

Drivers will not be required to pay an additional processing fee of £35 for driving within the ULEZ.
