How do I get my profile verified for Getaround Connect?

Once your Getaround rental has been confirmed, you’ll be invited to verify your profile online. You can do this by going to the relevant rental, and clicking on ‘Verify my profile’. Follow these steps:

For UK drivers:

  1. Upload a photo of your driving licence (front and back).

  2. Check that your personal details are correct. This step is essential to verify your profile, as the first and last names entered must be identical to those on your driving licence.

  3. Enter your licence number, National Insurance Number and postcode, so we can check your licence history via the DVLA.

  4. Upload a selfie with your face in the center.

N.B. We don't accept old paper versions of the UK licence, as we aren't able to check your licence history through the DVLA database.

For drivers with an E.U. licence:

  1. Upload a photo of your driving licence (front and back).

  2. Upload your ID (front and back) or your passport (the 2 pages where your photo and signature appear). Make sure the upload is clear and readable.

  3. Check that your personal details are correct. This step is essential to verify your profile, as the first and last names entered must be identical to those on your driving licence.

  4. Upload a selfie with your face in the center.

We recommend verifying your profile as soon as your rental has been confirmed, just in case there are any delays with verification.

Once your profile has been verified, you’ll receive a confirmation email. We will get in touch if we need any additional documents.
